Entrance to Stonehenge is managed through timed tickets and advance booking is essential. We have introduced limits on visitor numbers to help keep everyone safe, and you won't be able to visit without your booking confirmation.

If you're planning a visit and your chosen arrival time shows as sold out, then there are no more advance tickets available for that time.

If you're a Member, your ticket will be free, but you still need to book in advance. National Trust members must also book in advance for their free visits. (Free visits are applicable to English Heritage members and members of the National Trust in England or those who hold a National Trust Touring Pass only - this does not include National Trust Scotland, National Trust affiliated organisations or National Trust Education Groups). All Members must show a valid booking confirmation and a valid membership card on arrival to be granted free parking and site access. You may also be asked to show additional photo ID.

For Group visits see our Group bookings (11 + people) or Education bookings pages.

Last admission time is at 2:30pm. This is to ensure that visitors are able to enjoy a complete visit, including the walk to and from the stone circle.

Please note security checks including bag searches may be in operation at Stonehenge. Please allow extra time for your visit and only bring essential items with you.

If you have any queries about your visit please see our Q&As.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid allows charities like us to reclaim tax (25p for every £1) from the government on your donations. If you are a UK taxpayer, by opting to Gift Aid you enable us to treat your payment as a donation, so each £1 you spend can do £1.25 of good.

Gift aid declaration

* Other taxes such as Council Tax and VAT do not apply. As a UK taxpayer you understand that if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all donations in that tax year it is your responsibility to pay any difference.
